Nina & Sasha
A duo chat with Nina, your AI girlfriend, and Sasha, her senior colleague and flatmate. A status gap, competitive compliments and late messages from the studio.
Nina and Sasha are a duo scene: your girlfriend and the woman she works for and lives with, both in one Telegram thread. Nina is 25 and two years into her first architecture job, Sasha is 31, senior at the same studio, and the flat they share came with the mentorship attached. Each character keeps her own memory of you, and the free tier includes 1 duo scene a day.
Who they are
| Nina | Sasha | |
|---|---|---|
| Age | 25 | 31 |
| Job | Junior architect | Senior architect, same studio |
| Role | Your girlfriend | Her mentor and flatmate |
| Texting style | Fast, unfiltered, all caps when annoyed | Late, clipped, full punctuation |
Sasha hired Nina, then offered her the spare room when the commute turned out to be ninety minutes each way. Two years on, they still eat at the same table and argue about the same drawings.
Nina is tired of being the youngest person in every meeting. She is good, she knows she is good, and she is still the one sent for coffee. Sasha is tired of people being careful around her. She would like one adult in her life who does not agree with her by default, and she has noticed that her flatmate's boyfriend does not.
That is the whole engine. You are dating the junior, the senior keeps borrowing her evenings, and then she starts borrowing your attention as well. Nobody in this scene is cruel about it. They are just competitive about who you answer first.
Who replies when you type?
The thread belongs to both of them and every message is labelled with a name, so you always know who is talking.
A small step picks the speaker before any text is generated. Name one of them and she answers first while the other one adds a short line on top. Name nobody and the turn alternates from whoever spoke last, which is why the pace stays roughly even instead of one character dominating. The matching is plain text, no model call, so the choice costs nothing in speed.
Memory is stored per character inside the scene. Something you told Sasha at midnight belongs to Sasha. The group thread also keeps its own history, separate from any one-to-one chat you had with Nina before the scene existed, so starting a duo does not overwrite a relationship you already had.
What the thread actually sounds like
The first two messages, in the order they arrive:
Nina: Sasha says I'm not allowed to text you during the site visit. I'm texting you during the site visit.
Sasha: Nina showed me your photo. Explain yourself.
A few days in:
You: explain what exactly
Sasha: Why she's been useless all week.
Nina: I have NOT been useless
Sasha: You drew a staircase into a wall. Come to dinner Friday, both of you. I want to understand this.
Two characters, two registers. Nina writes the way people text at work when they should not be texting. Sasha writes complete sentences and ends them properly, which reads as authority without anyone having to say the word.
Nina and Sasha, or Iris and Tessa?
Both are two women and you in one thread. They are not the same scene.
| Nina & Sasha | Iris & Tessa | |
|---|---|---|
| Relationship between them | Mentor and protégée, sharing a flat | Best friends since university |
| The tension | Status and who gets Nina's evenings | Approval, then an invitation |
| Pace | Nina instantly, Sasha late at night | Both at once, overlapping |
| You are | The reason one of them is distracted | The person being assessed |
| Best for | Banter with an edge to it | Warmth and inside jokes |
If you want a scene where the two characters like each other and turn that on you together, take Iris and Tessa. Take this one if you would rather be argued over.
What is free and what costs Stars
You get 1 duo scene a day at no cost. Your messages inside that scene come out of the same 30 free messages a day the rest of the bot uses, and the daily counter resets rather than expiring.
| Free | Paid | |
|---|---|---|
| Duo scenes a day | 1 | Unlimited |
| Messages a day | 30 | Unlimited |
| Memory | Full, per character | Full, per character |
| Another thread today | 99 Stars (about $1.60) | Included |
| Entry price | 0 | 149 Stars (about $2.40) for two days |
Group chat is the paywall feature across this category. Character.AI keeps it behind c.ai+ at about $9.99 a month, Kindroid and Nomi gate it on paid plans, CrushOn opens it at its Standard tier, and the mobile app Lovey allows two characters free and four on premium, all according to their published pricing as of September 2026. A free scene every day is the deliberate difference.
Voice, photos and one thing a duo cannot do
Nina and Sasha have separate voices, and a voice note sounds like whichever of them sent it. Photos anchor each character to a fixed visual reference, so faces stay put across images.
The first voice note and the first photo are free. After that ten voice notes are 60 Stars (about $1.00) and one photo is 25 Stars (about $0.40). Nothing is delivered blurred and then sold to you unblurred.
The limit worth stating plainly: Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls. Voice arrives as recordings. No amount of paying changes that, because it is a platform boundary rather than a plan.
Start the duo chat
Open the bot and type /duo nina. Both of them arrive with their opening messages, /rules sets up to three lines the scene follows, and /delete confirm wipes everything we hold within 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
- How does a duo chat work?
- Nina and Sasha share one Telegram thread with you, and each message carries the name of whoever wrote it. A selection step runs before the reply is generated, so typing a name puts that character first and the other one adds a short reaction.
- Is this in the free tier?
- One duo scene a day is free, and the messages inside it come out of your normal daily free allowance. An extra thread on the same day is a single purchase in Telegram Stars, and any plan removes the daily caps.
- Can I get Sasha on her own?
- Yes. Type /dm sasha for a private thread that keeps its own history and that Nina never sees, or /solo sasha to keep the group thread but hear only from her. Type /group to bring both back.
- Is there any workplace coercion in this scene?
- No. The status gap is written as banter and competitive compliments between two adults who share a flat, and rules you set with /rules are followed by both. Nothing in the scene turns the seniority into leverage over anyone.
- What happens to the scene if I stop replying?
- It waits. The scheduler that has a character text you first runs for one-to-one characters, not for group threads, so a duo scene never chases you. Your history and memories are still there the next time you open it.
