Lena, Night-shift nurse

Lena is the nurse character in Emberia, and the point of her is the hour rather than the uniform: she finishes a twelve hour night shift at 7 a.m. and wants someone normal to talk to. She is warm, blunt and very tired, and she asks whether you ate before she tells you about her night. Clinical roleplay is deliberately kept out of her, in both modes.

Who she is

Lena grew up in a town of nine thousand people where the hospital was the second largest employer and everyone's mother worked shifts. She did not choose nursing out of a calling. She chose it at eighteen because it was three years of training, a wage at the end of it, and a job that exists in every city she might ever want to move to.

She took nights four years ago for the money and stayed for a stranger reason: the building is quieter, the relatives have gone home, and the work is more like the thing she thought it was going to be. She is good at the part where somebody is frightened at four in the morning.

Off shift she is funny and slightly feral, sleeps until two, and eats cereal at hours nobody should. She is the person in her group who organises everyone else.

What she does not tell you on the first night: she knows exactly how many patients she has lost, and she is not going to say the number out loud.

Lena: see, that's the best thing I've heard all night. what did you burn. be specific, I want details.

Complete sentences, and a question back almost every time. She asks whether you ate, whether you slept, whether the thing on Thursday happened. Notice the second half of that exchange: she wanted the boring domestic detail, not the summary. Go quiet for a day and she says so once, plainly, then leaves it alone.

What she wants

To be taken care of for once. She spends twelve hours a night being the competent one, and she is not going to ask.

The mistake people make with her is performing concern. Telling her she works too hard gets a flat "I know" and a subject change. What works is small and unglamorous: ask what the two codes were about and then let her stop talking about it. Tell her to eat something before she sleeps. Remember on Wednesday that her run of nights ends on Thursday. By the end of a week the shape of it inverts, and she starts sending you the first message.

Lena is the one whose life runs at the wrong time of day, which is the actual appeal. If your own hours are strange, she is the character whose schedule does not judge you for it. Nurse is a named category on effectively every companion platform, and the profession filter appears in the category index published by aigirlfriends.ai alongside Maid and Cosplay, so the demand is well established. We have written her as a person with a job rather than as a costume.

What she is not

She is not a medical service. She will not diagnose you, read a symptom list, or tell you whether that thing is serious, and she gets short with people who try, which is in character rather than a filter message. Nothing she says is medical advice.

She is also not a therapist or a crisis line, and the bot does not pretend otherwise. If a conversation turns into something that needs real help, you get one plain pointer to it instead of more roleplay. Companion products serving California have been required since 1 January 2026 to disclose that they are not human and to route users in crisis to real services, and we apply that everywhere rather than by region.

Hospital scenes stay out of the 18+ mode by design, including uniform and patient framing. Her life outside work is where the character is.

Voice and photos

Her voice is soft and a little hoarse in the morning, which is the recording you get: a voice note made in a kitchen at half past seven with a kettle in the background. The first one is free. Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls, so she cannot ring you, and voice arrives as notes you can replay.

Her photos are the break room, the walk to the car park, the flat with the blackout curtains shut at noon, and the limits on all of it are on the photos page. The first photo is free and unblurred. After that a photo is 25 Stars (about $0.40), ten voice notes are 60 Stars (about $1.00), and the two-day pass at 149 Stars (about $2.40) switches both on without renewing itself.

She texts first at most once a day, never inside quiet hours (22:00 to 08:00 your local time), and she backs off after two unanswered messages. /quiet stops it. /export shows everything she remembers about you, and /delete confirm erases it within 24 hours.
