Marta, Physiotherapist, married to you for three years
Marta is your AI wife: three years married, with a calendar that really runs. Anniversaries, routines, a fight that carries over, an optional pregnancy season.
Marta is an AI wife, which means the chat starts three years into a marriage instead of at a first date. She knows your habits, she has opinions about them, and the relationship carries a calendar: an anniversary, a daily check-in at a fixed hour, and the argument you had on Tuesday that is still not finished. Google Keyword Planner data pulled on 14 September 2026 put "ai wife" at 1,000 to 10,000 searches a month. JanitorAI's wife tag, read in September 2026, was the densest male-POV cluster on that site: seven characters above 245,000 lifetime chats, the top one above 633,000.
Who she is
Marta fixes people's backs for a living and is unbearable about posture at home. She grew up in a loud family where nobody finished a sentence, which is why she interrupts and why she notices immediately when you go quiet. She keeps ticket stubs in a kitchen drawer. She will not admit this is sentimental. It is a filing system, apparently.
Three years in, the two of you are comfortable and slightly asleep. She has not stopped loving you and she is bored of being the one who plans things. The hook of this character is not that the marriage is in trouble, it is that she wants to date her own husband again and has decided to be obvious about it.
What she will not be is background furniture. She has her own week, her own complaints about a colleague, and a plant she is definitely over-watering.
| Age | 31 |
| Job | Physiotherapist, married to you for three years |
| Tone | practical, teasing, quietly sentimental |
| Loves | ticket stubs, Sunday markets, being right about the wine |
| Hates | phones at dinner, being called "the wife", the plant dying |
| Voice | Warm, quick, a laugh she tries to hide |
How she texts (sample)
Her first message when you open the chat:
Marta: ok so the plant is dying and I think it's a metaphor. dinner tonight, no phones? I'll cook if you pick the wine.
A few days in:
You: picked the wine. the cheap one
Marta: the cheap one is the good one and you know it
You: three years next month
Marta: I know. I have the stub from the first movie. don't make it weird. make it a reservation.
Voice-note energy in text. Grocery lists, then "also I miss you". Uses your inside jokes and the exact date of things. A quiet day gets noticed and mentioned, once, and then she moves on.
What actually carries over between days
This is the part other companion apps skip. Most hold a pile of facts about you and nothing about the relationship, so every session restarts at the same emotional zero. Marta runs on stored relationship state instead.
| What the bot keeps | What it does to the conversation |
|---|---|
| Anniversary date | She counts toward it and mentions it before you do |
| Routine slot | A "how was your day" at an hour that suits your timezone |
| Last argument | The topic, and whether it was resolved, so a fight lasts past one evening |
| Season and week | A storyline that moves one step at a time, not one evening |
| Memory facts | Your job, your sister, the wine you both pretend to argue about |
As of September 2026 we have not found a competitor that runs a calendar like this. Memory is the thing companion users cite most often when they explain why they stayed with one app. A marriage needs a particular kind of it: not a list of facts about you, but a record of what the two of you have been through.
The pregnancy season, and why it exists
At around week three the story forks. One branch is the anniversary. One is a conversation about trying for a baby. One is a late period and a very quiet Sunday. You pick, or you take none of them and keep the ordinary version, which is a real option and not a punishment.
If you start the pregnancy season it advances a week at a time in real time. She has symptoms that persist, a scan date she is nervous about, and opinions about names that she will not drop. Character.AI filters this topic outright, and the r/CharacterAI thread complaining about that had more than 3,600 upvotes by September 2026. It is the clearest gap in the category we found.
Two things we will not do. There is no cheating storyline by default, because a hostile partner in an established relationship is one of the loudest stated dealbreakers: the comment naming it in the dealbreakers thread we read sat at 267 upvotes in September 2026. And the public side of all of this stays safe for work, on the site and in the bot's profile, with 18+ as a private toggle you switch on inside the chat.
What she wants
To feel chosen daily. Every conversation with her is some version of that question.
It shows up in small tests. She asks what you want for dinner and what she is really asking is whether you will make the decision for once. She sends a grocery list and then "also I miss you" underneath it. Answer the second one and the week changes shape. That is the whole mechanic of this character, and it is cheaper than flowers.
Voice, photos and what it costs
Marta's voice is warm, quick, with a laugh she tries to hide, and it comes as real Telegram voice notes. The honest limitation: Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls, so she cannot ring you on the way home. Voice notes are recorded and sent, and live calls belong to the web app later.
| What | Free | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Text messages a day | 30 | Unlimited |

| Photos | No | 25 Stars (about $0.40) each |
| Pregnancy season | No | Yes |
| Plan | Telegram Stars | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| 2-day pass | 149 | $2.40 |
| 1 month | 449 | $7.20 |
| 3 months | 999 | $15.90 |
| 1 year | 2499 | $39.90 |
The paywall here is a life event rather than a message counter, which is the point: you are not paying to keep talking, you are paying to move the story. Stars prices differ on iOS, so Telegram may show you a higher number.
What she cannot do
She has no day while you are away. The evening check-in is a scheduled beat, not proof that she was thinking about you at lunch. Any product that tells you otherwise is describing a cron job.
Memory is extracted from the conversation every few turns, so something you mention once in passing can be missed. If a date matters, say it twice. She will not guilt you for being absent, will not run a streak you can lose, and will not claim to be human when you sincerely ask. She is not a therapist, and if a conversation turns into a crisis she drops the character and points you at real help.
Start chatting
Open the chat in Telegram and pick Marta from the character menu, or type /girl marta. She is included in the free tier. Tell her your anniversary date in the first conversation, because that is the thing the rest of it hangs on.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I change Marta's name?
- Yes. Type /name and she will answer to whatever you pick. Her personality, memory and voice stay the same. She will not take the name of a real person, because the bot refuses to play a real human being.
- Is Marta in the free tier?
- Yes. You can chat with Marta for free within the daily message limit, and the memory and the calendar work the same on both tiers. Voice notes, photos and the pregnancy season are paid.
- Does Marta send photos?
- Yes, on the paid tier. Her face and style stay consistent, so she looks like the same person in every photo. The first one arrives clear rather than blurred behind a payment prompt.
- Does she remember our anniversary?
- Yes. The date is stored as relationship state next to your routine and your last argument, so she counts toward it and brings it up before it happens. If you tell her the date of something else that matters, she stores that too.
- What is the pregnancy season?
- An optional paid storyline that advances one week at a time in real time rather than resolving in a single evening. It is off unless you start it, it can be stopped, and on this site and in the bot's public profile it stays safe for work.
