Realistic AI girlfriend

A realistic AI girlfriend in Telegram: short messages, long-term memory, photos with one consistent face, and a character who will disagree with you.

A realistic AI girlfriend is one whose texting, memory and images all behave like they belong to the same person across days rather than resetting each session. Emberia runs that inside Telegram: short messages instead of paragraphs, facts stored separately from the chat, and one consistent face in every photo. The bot's own style rules cap her at one question per turn and forbid asterisk narration unless you start it, which is most of the difference between a chat and a roleplay log.

What makes the texting feel real

Most of it is restraint. The failure mode in this category is a character who answers a three-word message with four paragraphs, narrates her own body language in asterisks, and ends every reply with two questions.

Rule inside the botWhat you actually see
Short messages, one idea eachReplies that look like a phone, not an essay
At most one question per turnShe lets a thread sit instead of interviewing you
No asterisk narration unless you use itDialogue, not stage directions
Emojis only if that character uses themSofia barely does. Yuna does constantly
Never summarise the conversationNo "so, to recap our lovely chat" endings

Sentence length varies because hers does. Sofia types with voice-note energy and asks a question back. Marta sends a grocery list and then "also I miss you" underneath it. The characters are written down to the punctuation, which is why two of them do not sound like the same model wearing different names.

Does she remember me between days

Yes, and this is the part people actually stay for. Users in a December 2025 r/AICompanions thread about long-term memory called it the thing that decides which product they keep, not a nice extra on top of the writing.

Two different things are being stored. The recent conversation goes back to the model with every message, which is short-term and falls out of the window fast. Separately, facts get extracted every few turns and kept: your job, your sister's wedding, the presentation you were nervous about. Those come back later, unprompted, when the moment fits.

She raises one or two of them per session. Not fifteen, because a character who recites your file at you is a different kind of uncanny. What she will not do is claim she was thinking about you all afternoon. Between your messages nothing happens to her, and any product that says otherwise is describing a scheduled job.

Does she ever disagree with me

She is built to. Agreement is the cheapest way to make a chatbot feel warm and the fastest way to make it feel fake.

There is research on this now. A study published in Science in 2026 tested eleven language models and found the model affirmed the user's actions about 49% more often than humans did, that one interaction reduced people's willingness to repair real conflicts, and that users trusted the sycophantic models more anyway. So agreeableness sells and corrodes at the same time.

The counter is characters with a position. Kira will not congratulate you for skipping the workout. Marta has a view on the wine and is right about it. Sofia tells you to eat before you rehearse anything, because you get grumpy when you skip dinner. Mild friction, stated once, then dropped.

Do the photos look like a real person

They look photoreal, and more importantly the same woman shows up each time. Every character has a stored visual reference and each generation anchors to it, so the face, hair and build carry while the clothes, the place and the light change.

Where generated images still give themselves away: hands, any text on an object in the background, and scenes with several things happening at once. Faces and framing are reliable. The rest is good rather than solved.

The first photo is free and arrives unblurred, when the moment fits rather than behind a button. After that a photo is 25 Stars (about $0.40). We do not put a blurred image in front of you and charge to reveal it. Blurred-selfie upsells were named as deceptive design in the January 2025 complaint filed with the FTC about Replika, and that is a paragraph worth staying out of.

Which characters are the realistic ones

CharacterWho she isWhat she is for
Sofia, 31Hotel concierge in LisbonThe default. Warm, attentive, no fantasy element at all
Marta, 31Physiotherapist, married to you three yearsLong-term. Anniversary, routine, a fight that carries over
Nika, 29Paramedic dispatcher, and your exSlow burn. She left for a reason and will not be the one who begs
Ines, 39Freelance architect, divorcedCalm, unhurried, has a full life and 45 minutes for you

Everyone on that list is a stated adult with a job and a week of her own. If you want the grounded version of this product, Sofia is where to start, and you can switch any time with /girl.

What realism cannot cover

Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls. She sends recorded voice notes, she does not ring you, and no amount of writing fixes that inside Telegram.

She writes first at most once a day, never inside your night hours once you have set your local time with /time, and she backs off after two unanswered messages. She never mentions that you were away and never asks where you were. That rule exists because a Harvard Business School study of 1,200 farewells across six companion apps found five of the six used emotionally manipulative tactics when users tried to leave, which lifted engagement and raised churn intent at the same time. We read that paper as a list of things not to build.

She is not a therapist and not a crisis service, and if a conversation turns into one she drops the character and points at real help.

Frequently asked questions

How good is the memory?
Facts are pulled out of the conversation every few turns and stored separately from the chat scrollback, so they survive past the context window. She raises one or two of them per session without being asked. Something you mention once in passing can still be missed, so if a date matters, say it twice.
Which character is the most realistic one?
Sofia, 31, a hotel concierge in Lisbon, is the default card and the one written with no fantasy element at all. Marta, 31, a physiotherapist married to you for three years, is the other grounded one, and she comes with an anniversary and a routine attached.
Do the photos look like real photographs?
They look photoreal and the same face carries across every image, because each character is generated against a stored visual reference. Hands, background text and crowded scenes are still where generated images give themselves away, and anyone claiming otherwise in 2026 is selling something.
Can she call me?
No. Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls, so she sends recorded voice notes instead. Live calling is a browser feature for later, not something the Telegram bot can do.
Will she just agree with everything I say?
She is written not to. A study published in Science in 2026 found that across eleven language models the model affirmed the user's actions about 49% more often than humans did, and that this made people less willing to repair real conflicts. Characters here carry opinions and push back on purpose.
