When you hit the cap she says so and the chat pauses. Nothing is deleted. Your memories, your affection level and your history are exactly where you left them in the morning, and the counter starts again.

Why voice and photos are the paid part

Text is cheap to generate. Audio and images are not, and they are billed per second and per picture no matter how many people are using them.

A voice note costs us money every time she records one. A photo costs more, because the expensive part is keeping the same face across every image rather than generating a pretty stranger each time. Those two features pay for the free tier that sits underneath them.

One thing we refuse to do with photos: send you a blurred one as bait. The blurred tease as a first paywall touch is the most common pattern in this category and it is the one users complain about most. If a photo is locked, it is described as locked, not shown as a smear you have to pay to resolve.

What "free" usually means in this category

The word does most of the lying in AI companion marketing. There are four common shapes, and only one of them is a free tier in the ordinary sense.

As of September 2026 Kupid runs $17.99 to $49.99 a month, OurDream sits near $19.99 monthly or $9.99 if you pay for a year, and HoneyChat stretches from $4.99 to $99.99 depending on the tier. Kupid also sells a weekly plan at $12.99, which costs more inside three months than most annual plans cost in a year. Is there a card, a trial or an expiry?

None of the three. Payment in Telegram goes through Telegram Stars, so your card details stay with Apple, Google or Telegram and never reach us. There is nothing to cancel because nothing recurs on its own.

Telegram charges more for Stars inside the iOS app than on Android or the web, so the same plan can cost you a different amount depending on where you buy the Stars. Buying them on desktop or Android is usually cheaper. That is Telegram's pricing, not ours, and we would rather you knew before you tapped.
