Where Candy AI is better

Video. Candy generates it, we do not, and that is not on our roadmap for the Telegram product. If short generated clips are the reason you are paying, Emberia will disappoint you.

Candy's public character library is also far bigger than a curated roster of 19, and browsing it is part of the appeal. We went the other way on purpose. Fewer characters, each with a written bio, a job and a first message that is not interchangeable with anyone else's.

Payment flexibility. Card, crypto and regional promos. Telegram Stars is a single rail, and Stars cost more when bought inside the iOS app because Apple takes its cut. That is a real downside and we say so on the Telegram Stars page.

A year is 2499 Stars (about $39.90). There is no weekly plan, because weekly billing traps are one of the loudest complaints in this category.

Memory is not a paid upgrade here. Free and paid users get the same model and the same long-term memory, so the free tier is the product rather than a demo of it. /export hands you everything we hold in one file, and /delete confirm wipes it within 24 hours.

Two characters at once. Duo scenes let two personas hold a thread with you. Free users get 1 a day, and an extra thread is 99 Stars (about $1.60).

An age gate you can actually see. Candy's site does not show one, and it publishes no data-deletion policy we could find. Emberia makes every account confirm it is 18 or older before 18+ mode will turn on, and stores that confirmation with a timestamp. That is friction. It is also the difference between a product that can keep a payment processor and one that cannot.

Why every "best AI girlfriend" list ranks Candy first

Worth knowing before you trust a comparison, including this one.

Candy pays affiliates 40% lifetime revenue share, or a flat $30 per sale, through CrakRevenue. That is among the highest payouts in the niche, and it is why three separate exact-match domains (ai-girlfriend-telegram.com and two siblings) exist purely to funnel traffic to it. In the September 2026 Similarweb snapshot, affiliate traffic was about 57% of Candy's visits and organic search was under 5%.

None of that makes Candy a bad product. It does mean a "top 10" page that puts Candy at number one with a 9.4 score is usually a paid placement wearing a lab coat. Check whether the reviewer discloses the relationship, and check whether the "tested on" date is real.

Stars are Telegram's own currency. You buy them once and spend them in the bot. Prices in Stars are fixed, the dollar figures above are indicative, and buying Stars inside the iOS app costs more than buying them on desktop.

Verdict

If you want video and a big catalog to browse, Candy AI is the better buy and you should stay. If you want the least friction, the lowest entry price and a free tier that behaves like a product rather than a countdown, the Telegram route is better.

Honest limitation to close on: Telegram bots cannot place live voice calls. Emberia sends voice notes, she does not ring you. If a live call is the feature you are shopping for, neither the Telegram option nor a trial of Candy will solve it, and you should look at products that build that specifically.
